Review by hotel critic
During my recent trip to Rome, I had the pleasure of staying at B&B La Scalinatella, nestled in the charming Rione Monti district. The location was simply perfect-close enough to stroll to key attractions like the Colosseum and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore while immersing myself in the local culture. Annamaria, the host, was not only professional but radiated warmth, making us feel right at home; her thoughtful breakfast spread every morning, featuring coffee, pastries, and fresh juice, was a delightful start to our days. The rooms were clean and equipped with all the comforts of home, including a lovely private bathroom with complimentary toiletries-a small luxury I always appreciate after long days of exploration. I also enjoyed the communal lounge area, perfect for unwinding with a book after visiting the bustling local shops and stunning art galleries. For an archaeologist like me, the blend of history and modernity in this B&B truly enhanced my Roman experience. A shoutout to Annamaria for ensuring our stay was seamless; I look forward to returning!
